competencies Explanation: "competencies" is a business term that has a precise meaning. Not to be confused with "skills" ! Both terms are used in the title of this article: http://www.ncrel.org/sdrs/areas/issues/methods/assment/as7sc... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 mins (2009-05-27 15:26:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- and the article gives two separate lists, the first of ypical "competencies" and the second of typical "skills". I first learned the difference when translating some business/economics academic papers for a university professor friend who teaches these subjects. |
