Italian term or phrase: giustificato e comprovato impedimento
As in: "Salvo giustificato e comprovato impedimento, in caso di assenza per malattia, il dipendente ha l'obbligo di dare immediata comunicazione al responsabile HR." Do we use impediment? Sounds too literal to me and makes me think of legitimate impediment, which is something different. TIA
