(-la quale- è riferito alla "persona" in questione, NON alla famiglia, ovviamente)

Per mantenere ad ogni costo le frasi collegate pensavo di dire:
".... up to the point of becoming a person of the family, whom we trusted completely."

Ma non mi piace molto.
Forse meglio fare due frasi e dire:
"... of the family. We've always placed our trust in him."

Ho già girato in tutti i modi ma, essendo contorto già in italiano, non ne esco.
