Asker: vermanete per ordine pubblico si intende il mantenimento dell'ordine nelle città ecc. e il servizio di ordine pubblico gestisce per esempio i manifestanti ecc.

agree  katy hannan: I am not sure public policy is appropriate in this case...it seems from the context that it refers to some type of work- and therefore some type of law enforcement- but you would need to check the context well.
