...il supporto tecnico sul quale procedere al confronto tra le parti sociali per arrivare alla condivizione e alla validazione dei loro contenuti.

Ho capito il senso, ma ho un black-out dei neuroni traduttori (forse è il caso di bere un caffè).. Grazie :-)

Many thanks to all. The expression had been borrowed from trade union terms but it was definitely used in a more general context, so social partners is fine. Ziad's solution was used too, in another sentence, thanks again

agree  Leonardo Marcello Pignataro (X): A more general term (not just "trade union" and labour issues). E.g. taking into account all the social parties involved: scientists and researchers, decision-makers and managers, local people http://www.unesco.org/csi/pub/info/diope.htm....

neutral  writeaway: Labour party is completely wrong and this is not about partners inside a given company or about 'two sides of industry' here. Eurodicatom is tricky to use because you have to find a translation that fits the context

Explanation:
this is a generic word to indicate the usual parties in labour negotiations. Government representatives often play the part of "moderators" and generally foster compromises to get to an agreement.
