agree  Patricia Crotty: Tufa is another way of saying tuff, but it is not a form of limestone! If anything volcanic material mixed with calcium rich sediments

agree  marionclarion: Tufa is rough, thick, rock-like calcium carbonate deposit that forms by precipitation from bodies of water with a high dissolved calcium content. It is commonly confused with the rock type "tuff" formed from welded volcanic ash. THey're totally unalike!
