Tech/Engineering - Fisheries / Fishing lines
Italian term or phrase: tracciato / trecciato
I'm translating a commercial fishing product catalogue. They're talking about different kinds of knots and the phrase in question is "Come unire trecciato con tracciato". The problem is that both terms seem to bring up the same English expression (braid / braided line). Can anyone enlighten me as to the difference?

braid
Explanation:
"... how to join braids (together)" seems appropriate. From my experience with Fisheries...braids are also the ropes that border the nets and some times have small floats attached. Hope this helps.
