< sigh> the source doesn't say it's a unit. Nor does the source say it's electronic. Privately I might have all kinds of ideas in my head about exactly what type of control panel it might be, but as a translator I still to what's in the source, not what's in my imagination.

still = stick. Why is there no option to correct my stupid typos?

agree  James (Jim) Davis: Why can't it also be a "unit"? Obviously with a big panel on it. http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=desk...

Ciao Gianluca!

electronic controller
( electronic control unit is a General term for any electronic controller. See "controller:'

"An Environment Control Unit (ECU) is a purpose-designed device or system that allows a person to operate appliances within their environment. Most people during the course of their everyday life use some form of ECU, such as a remote control for the television or stereo."
"What can be operated by an ECU?
􀁦 Audio visual equipment (eg television, stereo, DVD player, VCR, etc)
􀁦 Lighting
􀁦 Fans
􀁦 Air-conditioning
􀁦 Door locks and door opening
􀁦 Curtains
􀁦 Security systems
􀁦 Specialised telephones
􀁦 Many other items."
