"Il referente QAS (Quality Assurance) è garante della scelta di valutatori indipendenti dal processo o fornitore auditato e di una conduzione obiettiva e imparziale della verifica ispettiva interna o esterna."

I know "Conduzione" usually means "leadership, management", but I just don't understand the meaning of this sentence. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
