Italian term or phrase: Abilitazione
Hello. I am translating a CV for a university professor:

"Nel 2002 consegue l’Abilitazione all’Università di XXX con «YYY»."

XXX is the name of the university
YYY is the name of her study/thesis

One year later she became a Professor at the same university.

I need the UK English term, please.

Thanks for your help :)

qualified as a lecturer (gloss)
Explanation:
It's a teaching qualification required by some universities to take an academic grade appointment. Equivalent of the German "Habilitation". There is no equivalent in the English speaking world.
