commercial / industrial noise nuisance Explanation: The term "nuisance" in relation to unreasonable noise has become a much used and accepted term now in both domestic and commercial areas. I have given an alternative regarding the "azienda" term, i.e. I don't think you can really translate "azienda" literally for this term as it would not collocate well and would present an unnatural use of English. Industrial or commercial collocates better and would be understood by professionals (and also non-professionals) involved in this area. ( Another term would be "industrial noise pollution" - http://www.advanced-noise-solutions.co.uk/noise-nuisance.htm... - in this sense, industrial takes on a similar meaning to commercial and does not relate to Industry in the factory production sense of he word) Example sentence(s):

nuisance-causing companies Explanation: Looking at the legislation quoted, you're needing a suitable adjective to qualify the different companies. "nuisance-causing" hyphenated gets quite a lot of hits: http://www.google.com/search?hl=it&q="nuisance causing"&aq=f... These could then be further described as high-level, low-level or zero-level. "high-level nuisance-causing companies" is quite a mouthful, but we know the Swiss like to be precise. |
