Italian term or phrase: da gruppi di essi...
This section concerns shareholders.
I am struggling to work out what is intended with the last part of the sentence following 'da':

L'assemblea puo anche deliberare l'aumento del capitale sociale mediante conferimenti in natura e la sua riduzione anche con assegnazione ai soci o *da gruppi di essi di determinate attivita sociale*.

Many thanks.

od a gruppi ... (--> to members or groups or members)
Explanation:
Most likely a typo. They probably tried to attach an euphonic 'd' to the 'o' (which is kinda obsolete by itself), only the 'd' ended up with the 'a'.

Corrections: I guess you translated 'socio' with 'shareholder' instead of 'member' (your choice is the most appropriate, of course) ... the sense is unchanged though.
