collective good Explanation: This is in the technical economic sense (see quote and link from Wiki) and it is pretty technical. Alternatively you good interpret it loosely as "the latter interpreted as in the public interest" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_good#Collective_good Collective good Collective goods (or social goods) are defined as public goods that could be delivered as private goods, but are usually delivered by the government for various reasons, including social policy, and finances from public funds like taxes. |
