cylinder blocks Explanation: Hi Florelle AfaIk the "bancate" are cylinder blocks. It seems redundant in English to specify that they are "del basamento" since it is perfectly clear that the cylinder blocks are mounted on the crankcase. This is a classic vee engine, wherein the cylinders and pistons (in the dual cylinder blocks) are arranged in two rows forming a V angle between them. You'll find plenty of info on the Web.
