This is a way of selling cars in Italy, but I don't know how it works. If anyone can explain it I'd be grateful, and if anyone knows of an accepted translation I'd be very grateful indeed.

Explanation:
New cars that have already been registered by the dealer but are used for exhibition or demo purposes and have a very limited mileage (up to 100 km). I know a few people who've bought them, because they cost less than a brand-new model.

agree  Ray King: Personally, I would also append "zero or limited mileage" as the majority of such cars are in fact brand new apart from having been registered by the dealer (not for demo purposes but just to meet manufacturers' quotas and so maintain/increase discounts
