former excavation level Explanation: The reasoning follows your earlier post, where we suggested that the quarry diggings had reached - 7,0 metres , relative to the ground level. Consequently, I am supposing that in some areas of the structure, certain blocks of stone from the quarry-site, could be identified as coming from a (- 0,50 metres) stratum of the *former excavation level*. A section (and plan) of the site and structure would be most helpful. |
