womb Explanation: I know you were looking for a non-literal translation. But, it seems all this stuff is ground up to become something new (= reborn?) So, I actually think the meaning is close to "womb". |

inner recesses Explanation: Just an idea and what immediately came to mind! grembo = innermost part (in this context) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 mins (2006-11-06 18:12:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- ... although I'm sure there's a better way of saying this... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 mins (2006-11-06 18:20:06 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- inner recesses of history -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 hrs (2006-11-06 22:50:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- ** Can I change my mind? I think "in the darkest recesses of history" would fit this perfectly! (or simply "in the recesses of history") ** |
