praefericulum > prefericolo Explanation: It was a bronze vase/bowl used in sacrificial rites. The Italian name is "prefericolo" (probably a typo here). It was often engraved on coins along with the "lituus", the sceptre of Estruscan priest kings. Under "parefericulum" you can find plenty information on the net. HIH |
