So you think you could do better? Explanation: This is an English (English) translation possibility, a common retort with a bit of a challenge, but steering away from slang or swearing. It's fine for the British market, I don't know how the American's would translate this. |

And yet you have the nerve to put me in the wrong?! Explanation: "még neki áll feljebb" jelentése: felesel, visszafelel, nyelvel, nyelveskedik, pimaszkodik, vádol, annak dacára, hogy ő maga okozott kárt másnak. Angolul így mondanám: még van képe - to have the nerve /vagy cheek/ - to put me in the wrong / to be aggressive in spite of his being in the wrong. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2010-05-27 15:20:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Tehát úgy értelmezzük ebben az esetben, hogy épp azt támadja le az illető, akinek valójában ő maga tartozik bocsánatkéréssel. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2010-05-27 15:42:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Amanda javaslatára tehát hozzáteszem a "put me in the wrong" alternatívájaként: ...to accuse me vagy ...to attack me vagy ...to blame me. :) |
