I did not want to muddy the waters, but in the English language the various phases of the criminal procedure are called stages: investigation stage, arrest stage, pretrial stage, trial stage, appeal stage, serving sentence stage. Perhaps, because the criminal procedure is staged this way, that's why the staged criminal procedure would not be used in English. I still think that the politician who uses the above Hungarian phase frequently, mixes things up a bit. It is true that a lot of these cases never reach the trial stage, and that is the reason why they have to talk about the procedure and not the trial. |
