occupancy permit Explanation: Értelemszerűen én így fordítanám. Arról van szó, hogy a kivitelezés befejezésekor az adott ingatlan beköltözésre alkalmas. Az occupancy permit ugyan sok szótárban használatbavételi engedélyként szerepel, angol nyelvterületen azonban a jelentése egyértelmű lesz. Maga a "lakhatási engedély" szerintem pontatlan, helytelen szóválasztás az eredetiben. Az építési engedélyeztetési előírásokat ismerve a használatbavételi engedély illene az adott szövegkörnyezetbe, ugyanis a "lakhatási engedély" külföldiek lakhatására utal (residency permit), nem pedig arra, hogy az ingatlan lakható állapotban van, azaz beköltözhető. Angol nyelvterületen a "home occupation (occupancy) permit" megint mást jelent. Olyanok részére szól, akik otthonról kívánnak dolgozni (run a home business).
