A családi háznál is ez a helyzet, nem csak a bérházaknál, a különbség csak az, hogy az ezáltal nyert hely leggyakrabban a ház saját lakóterét növeli, nem lesz külön lakás belőle.
Az attic ugyanaz, csak régimódibb, ritkább kifejezés.

agree  Eva Blanar: ez az! (én már kaptam olyan szöveget, hogy "a tetőtérben loft-lakások", akkor mondta a lektor :)

  -> Kár lenne, ha rászoknának a loft-lakásokra, de nem vagyok optimista. M.o.-on egyébként több a 'mansard' tető, mint az UK-ban.

neutral  juvera: A mansard roof az egy tető kialakítási forma, Angliában nagyon ritka. A tetőtér-beépítés viszont nagyon gyakori, minden negyedik, ötödik háznak be van építve a tetőtere. A mansard roof nem előfeltétele a tetőtérbeépítésnek.
