Hindi term or phrase: जोहराब or जाहेराब
In a marriage certificate I came across a word "जोहराब or जाहेराब". Does any one know what it means? The full sentence is: भाई बहनों को जोहराब करने आना है।
And what is the appropriate word in English for शुक्ल पक्ष (Sukl paksh).

Zohrab custom--A custom to please the goddess of love, Venus
Explanation:
Sukl Paksh means moonlit fortnight.

Zohra means Venus, the goddess of love, or Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love.

Zahra means bright, luminous, etc.

and Zahrah means freshness, beauty, sweetness.
And the suffix Aab means water.

As such, I guess Zahrab or Zohrab is a custom to please Venus, the goddess of love.
