disagree  Textpertise: The ureter can have a proximal end or a distal end and although a person has two ureters, it is not the case that one of them is termed the proximal ureter and the other the distal ureter.

The distal end of the ureter.

Explanation:
The distal end of the ureter is the end furthest away from the kidney, i.e., where the ureter joins the bladder.

distal end

Explanation:
קצה דיסטלי on its own means "distal end" and can apply not only to the urological system. Therefore the words "distal end" should be taken as the correct translation of just these two words when used generally. I agree that in urology the definition is as you have had it from the previous two responses.

As regards the previous two definitions, the ureter can have a proximal end or a distal end and although a person has two ureters, it is not the case that one of them is termed the proximal ureter and the other the distal ureter. So I feel that in the case we have here, aquanai "has it by the right end", as it were!

I therefore consider that Kudoz points have been awarded for an incorrect answer and would hope that there is some way that the glossary entries can be corrected if any have been made.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks! I already corrected the suggested rendering to "Distal end" when awarding the points.

Asker: Look at the top of the page and you'll see the entry is "Distal End" for קצה דיסטלי.
