The author the Judeo-Arabic treatise: Fara'id al-Qulub was Bahya ibn Paquda.
The Fara'id was composed in the 11th century and translated into Hebrew by
Yehudah ibn Tibbon under the title: Chovot ha-Levavot

The write cited above is unclear as to whether the grave site he encountered in his travels was that of this famed author of that treatise on ethical philosophy or another writer also named Rabbeinu Bahya
