Kάποιο είδος παγωτού (;) της Μακεδονίας (και της Θράκης) (;) και ενδεχομένως και της Τουρκίας. Αδυνατώ να καταλάβω περί τίνος πρόκειται, όπως επίσης και πως να το αποδώσω προκειμένου να το .... αγοράσω στο Λονδίνο. Εξαιτίας της παροικίας, ειδικά αν είναι εκ Τουρκίας το γλυκάκι, σίγουρα θα το φτιάχνουν και σε Τουρ. ζαχαροπλαστεία. Τόσο ο Έλληνας φούρναρης, όσο και ο ζαχαροπλάστης (από Πάφο) σήκωσαν τα χέρια ψηλά. Τhanks in advance.

παγωτό καϊμάκι


Explanation:
ντο(και όχι ντου)ντουρμά είναι το παγωτό στα τουρκικά.
εμείς στη Θεσσαλονίκη, ντοντουρμά λέμε το παγωτό καϊμάκι. (αν και στα τουρκικά θα λεγόταν ντοντουρμά καϊμάκ, σωστά Ευδοξί;)
Το καϊμάκι είναι παγωτό κρέμα, με μαστιχωτή υφή. Να μην σε απογοητεύσω, αλλά δεν έχει τύχει ποτέ να το δω στο εξωτερικό.

Looking into the ethnobotany of the family Orchidaceae, I discovered that the plants are also used as medicines, religious charms, cosmetics, and musical instruments, as well as perfumes, food flavorings, and aphrodisiacs. Pursuing the food aspect of orchids, I happened upon a strange tale about the terrestrial orchids of Turkey. The story described a dessert made from wild orchid tubers, milk, and sugar. The frozen mixture was beaten with metal rods, eaten with a knife and fork, and capable of being used as a jump rope.

Explanation:
το dondurma δεν σημαίνει κάτι ιδιαίτερο στα Τουρκικά. Σημαίνει "παγωτό". Σαν να λέμε ice-cream. To kaymak είναι άλλο πράγμα, είδος παγωτού, το γνωστό καιμάκι. Επίσης το dondurma μπορεί να είναι και ρήμα "παγώνω" = freeze.

επίσης το dondurma βγαίνει σε διάφορες version, κολλώντας ένα (-li/-lu) στο τέλος του φρούτου, οπως έγραψε παραπάνω και νεκταρία

limonlu dondurma = παγωτό (με) λεμόνι
kirazli dondurma = παγωτό (με) κεράσι
fistikili dondurma = παγωτό (με) φυστίκι και ούτως καθ\' εξής
