Hello, Nick. The reason why I didn't use the term "municipal citizenship" is because I don't think that it is a term that is commonly used to describe such a status in England or America. In fact, all of the references I have found for the term appear to describe situations in Greece, India, The Netherlands, France and Germany. With respect, I think that the term may seem to be more common to you because the Greek people appear to differentiate between "municipal citizenship" and "national citizenship" much more than English or American people do. I would therefore be hesitant to use the term [when translating] because I am not certain that many English people would understand the relevance of it. |
