Zugriff auf das Objektverzeichnis Explanation: Aus einem Feldbus-Glossar Object Directory (OD) (Objektverzeichnis) Bietet eine Standardstruktur für den Zugriff auf interne Daten eines Geräts. Es definiert die Datentypen, z.B. Ganzzahl, boolesch, Float, Datum, String usw. Das OD befindet sich auf der Application Layer(Anwendungsschicht). Das OD wird von Systemen gelesen, die dann die Indizes für den Datenzugriff nutzen. Der Austausch von Informationen erfolgt bei FMS prinzipiell objektorientiert, d.h., jedes am Busverkehr teilnehmende Gerät besitzt ein - ggf. zu projektierendes - Objektverzeichnis (Object Dictionary, OD), in dem alle in diesem Gerät vom Bus aus ansprechbaren expliziten Objekte aufgeführt sind.
