Man geht vielmehr von einem multifaktoriellen Bedingungsgefüge aus biologischen, psychologischen und sozialen Faktoren aus. Die weitere Erforschung dieser Einflußgrößen ist von großer Bedeutung, denn je besser man versteht, wo Schizophrenie herkommt, desto gezielter können zuverlässige Behandlung und Rückfallvorbeugung verbessert werden.
