Mariana, la diferencia que yo hago con respecto a generación y producción es que la primera es para cosas intangibles: fuerza, presión, ondas, electricidad. Producción la uso para cosas tangibles.
Pero sin hilar tan fino, creo que puedes usar cualquiera de los dos términos.
