Seit Jahrzehnten trainieren einige der besten Sportschützen Deutschlands an diesem Ort – unter ihnen auch die siebenfache Weltmeisterin und vierfache Olympia-Teilnehmerin Sonja Pfeilschifter.
„Direkt vor dem Schießstand befindet sich unser so genannter ***Ladsaal***. Hier wurden früher Waffen vorbereitet.
Heute dient er als Aufenthaltsbereich und erinnert an alte Tage.
Neben Pokalen stehen auch Schießscheiben aus dem 16. Jahrhundert an den Wänden.
Die Akustik war in diesem Bereich bislang allerdings nicht optimal.

Feuert man einen Schuss ab, gibt es kein Getöse mehr.
Das entspannt nicht nur die Schützen beim Training, sondern auch die Gäste des ***Ladsaals***.
Denn hier ist seit der Installation der Akustikplatten von den Schüssen nichts mehr zu hören.
