Altarfalz

auch Fensterfalz genannt. Parallelfalz mit 6 oder 8 Seiten. Beim 6-seitigen Altarfalz werden die beiden äußeren Seiten nach innen gefalzt. Bei einem 8-seitigen Altarfalz werden ebenfalls die beiden äußeren Seiten nach innen gafalzt, zusätzlich wird nochmals in der Mitte zu einem Dreibruch-Parallelfalz gefalzt.
Eine Broschüre wird dergestalt gefalzt, dass zwei Flügel vor einer weiteren Seite zu öffnen sind.

Der Aufbau erinnert in diesem Falle an die Flügeltüren eines Altars.
