"In einem ersten Schritt wurden hochauflösende fotografische Gesamt- und Detailaufnahmen im Auflicht, Streiflicht, Durchlicht und unter UV-Strahlung angefertigt, die die Basis der durchgeführten Untersuchung des Zustands der Papiers découpés bildeten. Durch die Kombination der verschiedenen Lichtsituationen werden Oberflächenphänomene deutlicher ablesbar. So werden im starken Streiflicht zum Beispiel Wellen und Deformationen im Papier sichtbar, die Rückschlüsse auf verschiedene Spannungsverhältnisse im Bildaufbau erlauben."
