Mit dem Weißabgleich (white balance) wird die Farbtemperatur eingestellt und somit die Kamera auf die Lichtverhältnisse am Aufnahmeort eingestellt. Erfolgt dieser Weißabgleich vollautomatisch, sucht die Kamera nach einer weiß erscheinenden Fläche im Bild und kalibriert alle weiteren Farben dementsprechend. Da diese Fläche in der Realität aber selten weiß - sondern nur die hellste Fläche im Bild ist - kommt es oft zu Farbstichen.

(Non so se hai presente quei vecchi film che danno sul verde oppure sul rosso. Quelli sono grünstichig oppure rotstichig)

Siccome raramente questa superficie è bianca, ci sono spesso delle dominanti colore.

Effetti indesiderati, si, ma dovute a colorazioni smorte, piatte, sbiadite, scegli tu l'aggettivo. Mi riferisco al primo esempio delle foto che mi ha mandato.
