Damit wird deutlich, dass Marie Christine auch als Ehefrau ein Mitglied des Hauses Habsburg bleibt! Das ist ungewöhnlich! Normalerweise heiratet die Frau in die Familie des Mannes ein. Dieser Vertrag legt jedoch fest, dass die Heirat Marie Christine NICHT zur Wettinerin macht! Ganz im Gegenteil – ihr wird sogar darin ausdrücklich zugesichert, dass sie allzeit das Privileg genießt, zur kaiserlichen Familie zu gehören und alle damit in Verbindung stehenden Vorzüge in den kaiserlichen Erblanden beanspruchen zu dürfen.
