DFÜ sta effettivamente per Remote data transfer, ma Remote data transfer non è una rete, e teletrasmissione non mi pare un termine frequente nell'uso quotidiano del computer. Opterei per 'trasferimento remoto di dati', o semplicemente per il più frequente 'trasferimento dati', anche se poi bisogna vedere quanto è divulgativo il testo.
