Unter Anstrichaufbau versteht man die Reihenfolge, in der aufeinander abgestimmte Anstrichmaterialien aufgetragen werden. Im Regelfall Imprägnierung bzw. Grundierung als Haftvermittler, dann erforderlichenfalls die Zwischen- und schließlich die Schlussbeschichtung. Um ein einwandfreies Arbeitsergebnis zu erzielen, sollte man immer Komponenten eines Herstellers, die aufeinander abgestimmt sind, verwenden.
