Da sitzt er nun, der arme Tropf,
mit schwerem Herz und kahlem Kopf.
„Für Stärke, Mut und Heldenschein muss man halt einfach größer sein.“

Denkt er, da hört er’s draußen raunen, grad so, als würden welche staunen!“

Traduction :

Il était assis là, le pauvre garçon,
avec le cœur lourd et la tête chauve.
« Pour la force, le courage et l‘héroïsme, il faut simplement être plus grand. »

Pense-t-il, lorsqu’il l’entend chuchoter dehors...............?
