Explanation:
Pour les câbles électriques, on appelle manchons ou cosses cylindriques les embouts que l'on place aux extrémités des fils électriques pour empêcher de détériorer les torons au cours du serrage des fils dans les borniers à vis ou à pince. Ces manchons sont d'ailleurs obligatoires pour le câblage des équipements de sécurité.

La cosse cylindrique représentée ici vient prolonger le fil et c'est cette partie qui se place dans le bornier
Le manchon quant à lui, ne prolonge pas le fil qui se place directement dans le bornier, protégé par le manchon.
Hülse corespond davantage au manchon qu'à la cosse cylindrique, mais la confusion entre les deux est fréquente.

PS:
On appelle aussi manchons les embouts qui servent à raccorder des câbles (fils) ensemble, bout à bout en général. Ces manchons-là sont en revanche isolés.
