Dans un logiciel de mesures, ici pour la distance entre une droite et un cercle. Il s'agit vraisemblablement du point d'intersection (à 90°) entre la droite qui part du centre du cercle et la droite qui passe à côté du cercle.

Mon bon vieux livre de mathématiques de 1è parle de la "distance d'un point A à son projeté orthogonal H sur une droite D". Ce qui confirme la proposition de Geneviève sur la projection orthogonale. Maintenant Sylvain, à toi de voir si tu préfères l'un à l'autre, le "projeté" étant le point résultant de la "projection" - j'espère que tu n'est pas limité en nombre de caractères ;-)
