German to English translations [PRO] Marketing - Textiles / Clothing / Fashion
No worries. As you can see when you click at the ProZ link below, you weren't the only one today who posted more than one answer to a question. Personally, I am more bothered by askers not providing any feedback to people answering the question (to be clear: not the case here, as far as I can see).
I think the limitation is for practical purposes: If Ramey had posted (most of) her suggestions individually, I'd be scrollin' till mornin'. Usually, you provide one answer, add other suggestions if you want and people who agree may even add their own suggestion to yours if it's close enough.
Askers are supposed to select answers based on which one was "most helpful," not based on whether they translated it in the same way the answerer did.
Got the answer, basically citing that it is generaly preferred to post one entry most of the time. As such, I am cleaning mine and moving them all under just one :)
I see, my bad, thank you for making me aware of it. Frankly, I wasn't quite aware of this requirement. On other proz language forums I do see that happening for that reason alone (to be able to vote separately on each entry) and hence how I do it. Now that I know, I have no problem lumping it together in one entry if this is what PROZ mandates and enforces. And sure, I'd like to hear from moderators what they think about it. :) If so, I could hide all entries and just leave one with many options to chose from.
The question is not whether it bothers me. KudoZ rules 3.1: "In general, an answerer should submit no more than one answer per question. Occasional exceptions are allowed, but users are not permitted to make a habit of providing multiple answers to single "help" KudoZ questions."
I thought it better to tell you now before a moderator chimes in.
1) I wouldn't pay too much attention to what their website says they do, that is just plain marketing :). IMO, What they do is no different from other design studios. They all have to be "creative and inspiring" to compete. In reality, it is up to them to choose the name they like most. Our job is to furnish ideas.
2) As per the number of answers per person, would you prefer if I lump all of the distinctive terms that come to my mind just under one entry?? It would make it difficult for others to agree or disagree with...and I like this kind of "mental exercise" :) Or is one person allowed to enter just to one answer? Please explain who do you mean and why it bothers you.
Well then.
Considering this...
...I'd think about using something like creative/inspiring/unique/unparalleled.
Schmiede means experts or professionals. It's the same kind of idea as "wordsmiths". But surely you must have some context - the URL you gave is invalid.
In welchem Kontext denn? Als Slogan? Als Beschreibung eines Unternehmens im Fließtext? Was designt das Unternehmen?
