German term or phrase: Öko-Look
"....sorgen dafür dass Eltern statt "Öko-Look" nun trendigen Stadt-Chic sind!"

This is for a very specific article of clothing, and I fear there are no others like it on the market, so I really can' give any more of the text. In any case, Öko-look is something negative, so I really don't think "hippie look" would do (that's sort of in isn't it?). Any suggestions?

Öko-look
Eco-Look

Explanation:
I am just guessing, but doesn't this "Öko" relate to natural materials like? That was the first thing that came to my mind...
Hope this helps you further!

First sentence should be: materials like linen, etc.?

agree  Ulrike Kraemer: Agree, but it should be eco-look (not capitalized!). Man relevant hits in Google for "eco-look" +fashion.

Öko-look
crunchy

Explanation:
... sophisticated rather than crunchy.

... urban-sophisticated rather than crunchy-chewy.

... like urban hipsters rather than crunchy treehuggers.

Or something with "granola". You may need to adjust these suggestions according to the larger context. (BTW, shouldn't it read "trendigeR Stadt-Chic"?)

eco nut/hayseed wear; green and mean

Explanation:
just something to work with
No need to go lean and green, with...moms and dads can real preen/hit the city in urban sleek
Duds for the dads: in comes the big city panache, nerdy wear goes in trash
Moms in chic clothing: strip your chinos, ditch that old thing
...spins its yarn: urban legends leave the barn
Eco freak: the worse for wear. ...: no wear and tear.
The dusty old are out of the dustbin

old hippies

Explanation:
Or maybe "former hippies".

This might have more of a negative connotation (apologies to old hippies)

Instead of dressing like treehuggers...
Da es ja eher etwas negativ angehaucht sein soll finde ich, das passt sehr gut.
References findet man sehr viele.

Explanation:
I know that "a granola" is a woman, but the "look" seems applicable to both genders.

boho look/bohemian look

Explanation:
Hmmm... also, mir gefällt 'Eco look' nicht so, weil das scheint momentan ganz schoen 'in' zu sein (umweltfreundliche Stoffe etc.) und ich glaube Courtney sucht nach einem etwas 'veralteten' Stil... Ich habe im Internet folgende Beschreibung für den Boho/Bohemian Stil gefunden: 'When we're talking about fashion, the words Boho and Bohemian are used to convey an attitude that describes a free-spirited, independent frame of mind--and a look that goes along with it. It's an easy and fun style to achieve because you put it together to express your own individuality. There aren't a lot of rules.....'
Was meint Ihr? :0)
