German term or phrase: gg und 8er
Es stehen Angaben zu jedem Kleidungsstück - z.B. 100% VW/21 gg. WV steht für "virgin wool/Schurwolle" und ich gehe davon aus, dass gg für "grams per gram" steht, aber da bin ich mir nicht wirklich sicher.

Bei anderen Angaben steht z.B. 65% WV, 35% PAN/8er - worauf mag sich 8er beziehen und wie soll ich es im Englischen schreiben?

Vielen, vielen Dank im Voraus für irgendwelche Hilfe. Eigentlich habe ich recht viel Erfahrung mit Textilübersetzungen, aber diese war so technisch (und dann auch noch Männeranzüge ... ein Thema für sich!), dass es fast weh tat.

I think that gg. is gauge (my mother is a knitter, so...). 8er may also be 8 gauge, though I am much less sure of that...
