Der Warenauslauf ist mit einer Bahnkantensteuerung ausgerüstet. Diese kann eingeschaltet werden - Die Maschine regelt dann den Warenverlauf entsprechend der Bahnkante. (The German text is not very precise here.)

So far I have "edge control unit". I have also found "edge steering apparatus". Can anybody confirm one of these terms for UK English?

agree  Norbert Hermann: edge control alone (in this context) should be fine[added]there is a thought - keep it in if paid by target words ;-))!
