ABSTICH, Die Bezeichnung Abstich ist der Fachausdruck für den Verlauf der beiden Vorderkanten eines Sakkos vom Schließknopf bis zum Saum, auch Kantenabstich genannt. Man unterscheidet gerade bzw. eckige und schwach bis stark gerundete Kantenabstiche. Runde Formen findet man vor allem beim Einreiher, die eckige Form wird meist bei Zweireihern verwendet.

According to Hohenadel/ Relton Textilwörterbuch, Kante is almost always edge in this context.

abstechen can be to contrast/ prick out (a pattern) and abstechende Farbe = contrasting colour
