Die beim Abschuss entstehenden Schmauchpartikel können aufschlussreiche Informationen zur Schussentfernung und zur Ermittlung der Tatwaffe liefern (chem. Zusammensetzung des TLP, Nahschuss, aufgesetzter Schuss, etc.).
Die Außenballistik beschreibt das Verhalten eines ungelenkten Projektils im freien Flug und ist vor allem für den Schützen (insbesondere auch für die Artillerie) von Bedeutung.

The "aufgesetzt" isnt very clear to me. Didnt find much online.
