maturation disorders [in children]
Explanation:
IMO gonadorelin is the key for this translation issue, and so I tried first to find out, which uses are there for gonadotropin releasing hormone analogs especially in children.

See this text:
http://www.aetna.com/cpb/data/CPBA0501.html

You find that Reifungsstörungen - maturation disorders are sexual or pubertal disorders not meaning "retardation" of the process, but rather precocious puberty which is treated in children - together with infertiliy, also to be found in the table.

So I think maturation disorder is the correct term here, and the GH deficiency solution is an interpretation going too far, and maybe into the wrong direction.

or growth hormone receptor deficiency (GHRD)

Gonadorelin ( goe-nad-oh-RELL-in) is a medicine that is the same as gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) that is naturally released from the hypothalamus gland.

...The hypothalamus is a substructure of the diencephalon and acts
as one of the most significant control centers of the brain. It
is located inferior to the thalamus, encapsulates the ventral
portion of the third ventricle, and lies just superior to the
pituitary gland, which it has direct regulatory control over
(Gunderson, 1996). Neurosecretory neurons in the hypothalamus
secrete releasing and inhibiting hormones which are carried to
the anterior pituitary where they exert their effects via
hypothalamic-hypophyseal portal veins. Included in the many
functions of the hypothalamus are regulation of food and water
intake, autonomic function, emotions, body temperature, motor
functions, and circadian sleep-wake cycles (Kalat, 2004).
Hormones secreted by the hypothalamus include Thyrotropin-
releasing hormone, Gonadotropin-releasing hormone, Growth-
releasing hormone...

Growth hormone deficiency (GHD) is a developmental abnormality and it occurs in children who have a deficient pituitary gland that secrets inadequate amount of growth hormone.

I strongly believe that \'maturation disorder\' would not be the best term to use here, since there are a few very different maturation disorders, and this term is too broad. Gonadorelin is a drug used to cause ovulation in women and for treating growth hormone deficiency in teenagers. I don\'t think it should be implied that this drug may be used for treating any other maturation disorders in children. IMO, I don\'t see why using the terminology \'children with growth hormone deficiency\' would be going too far, if indeed this is exactly part of what this drug is used for.

-> Reifestörung is a developmental abnormality and is used in a few different contexts, however gonadorelin in context with children is used for growth hormone deficiency.
