German term or phrase: PTT, PTZ
Bilirubin, Amylase, Quick, PTT, PTZ

These are a series of bloe tests.
My dictionary gives several meanings for PTT one of them partial prothrombin time is the same as PTZ (partielle Prothrombinzeit). I wonder if there is
a reason for this repetition... or if PTT is something different...

Thank you.

partielle Thromboplastinzeit, Plasmathrombinzeit
Explanation:
PTZ is rarely used for partial thromboplastin time; and if PTT also appears in your text (for partial thromboplastin time), PTZ is plasma thrombin time.

agree  MMUlr: My error: PTT and PTZ are two different tests. It's a bit strange to have t for time and z for zeit in the other term.
