Asker: Indeed, or perhaps "Trend analysis of career progression/paths". My gut instinct said "trend analysis" too. Just found this page http://www.peridata.org/Suchen_d.htm, which has Trendanalyse and Verlaufsanalyse linking to the same page, which supports the idea that this a synonym as you suggest. Thanks.
