Thanks for all the great suggestions. Since I know these schedules are contained in Excel files and the schedules are typically exchanged, I am pretty sure they are indeed talking about data series. At this link: http://physicsnt.clemson.edu/chriso/tutorials/excel/advgraph.html they refer to a part of an Excel chart as a "data series." I think it was as simple as this. And, should the term come up again, you have provided great alternatives for a looser context.

You can aggregate a data series but often this doesn´t make sense. For example you don´t aggregate meter readings.

Several of the proposals above are possible, but it seems to me that what is happening here is that company yyy has specified a data format. They require the data to be transmitted complete, correct, on time, and in the specified format, so that they can do the further processing.
